New Lesson in Job Skill Training

new lesson available

It’s been a while since I’ve been able to work on this site, and I’m trying to make up for lost time. About a week after I created the first lesson on building a website, I had a family emergency that I had to tend to. Thankfully, that is over, and I’m able to dedicate time to creating more lessons. I’ll try my best to catch up to where I should be on these. Lesson two can be found here. This lesson covers the functions of the WordPress Visual Editor as well as touches on some other topics. This lesson should … Continue reading

March Update for Exoffenders

I would just like to give a brief update on a few things regarding Exoffenders. There hasn’t been much going on that has been visible lately. That’s about to change though. I’ll be working on the resources sections of the site. This includes the reentry & state assistance page as well as the resources for ex-offenders page. This is something that just hasn’t been worked on in a bit, and it needs to be finished. My goal is to have every state finished by the end of April, but hopefully I’ll finish it sooner. Arizona will be up today, and … Continue reading

Job Skills Training – Lesson 1

So I’ve completed the first lesson in the job skills training series on web development. It’s a very basic overview of some things. It should lay a foundation for ex-offenders who want to learn this skill. Future lessons will dive deeper into more advanced things. I’m hoping to have at least one lesson done a week, but I’m having some personal issues at the moment and don’t know how much time I’ll have to dedicate to this project. I think that I will be able to finish, at minimum, one per week though. So if you’re interested in learning a … Continue reading

Free Job Skill Training for Ex-Offenders

placeholder2 alt

I’m happy to announce that I’m going to be starting some free job skill training for ex-offenders. I’m a web developer by trade, and my goal with this is to teach ex-offenders some of the things I know. I’m going to start a series of “online classes” and tutorials to teach someone without any knowledge of building a webpage how to do it. All of this information will be accessible 24/7, so you don’t need to be on at a certain time and date to learn. While my goal is to help the visitors of Exoffenders.net, this information will be … Continue reading

A Few More Additions to the Site

The first thing I’d like to mention is a site-wide addition that you may have already noticed. It’s set up to make it a lot more difficult to copy the information on our site. If you right click on the contents of the site, you’ll get a message that asks you not to copy it. I really don’t care too much what gets copied from here, as I feel it gets shared to help people. That’s usually the case at least. I mean the jobs section gets copied about 40-50 times a day. That’s perfectly fine by me, my hope … Continue reading
