There are a decent amount of jobs for felons which are more local than we have on here. Three people currently maintain this site. It would be impossible for us to maintain a list of local small businesses and local companies that are known to hire felons. Smaller businesses are a lot better at hiring people with criminal records.

To find more companies that are more local, we recommend using Indeed. It’s a great tool for things that are local to your area. Best of all, it’s free to use. It can even build a resume for you which is pretty useful.

We’d also suggest following us on Twitter @Exoffenders or Facebook for live updates on this section and others. We always tweet and post when we update the jobs for felons section.

We have no affiliation with these companies. You have to go to their hiring website through the link to apply. Leaving a comment for the employer will not get to them.

  1. I am a 31 year correctional worker and I am thrilled to find your website. I have some ideas and hope to expand re-entry initiatives through a non-profit. Keep up the great work and please let me know how I can help.

  2. I have two violent felonies less than 7 years old and I worked for a Russell Stover Chocolates factory for a couple years.. I don’t know if all of them are like that, but I would assume so. I was going to transfer to another states facility and there was no problem. Decided against it but anyway, The Application asked about felonies so I answered truthfully and there was no further discussion during the interview process.

  3. I was curious about possible job opportunities for ex felons.Because have a nephew I ‘d like to help find a job for him, before he gets out.So he stays out of trouble. He’s mutured and wants to straighten out his life.Doing time for something did when 17 years old. This is great information to him.

  4. Hi all….thanks for the list…it’s good to know some still care about the re-entry of the known wromgdoers. I just wanted to say that I had a discrepancy with MacDonald’s, with them it’s the nature of the crime…like theft or anything similar.

  5. Im a Ex Con and i actually got a Job at McDonald’s. Its really a lot of opportunity there and you can get a lot of hours. Management is is to get into and they have a big school of classes online that gives you certificates. They even have classes offline. I got my Leadership pin.

  6. Toys R Us and Babies R Us ask about criminal history for the last 10 years only, so if it has been that long since your conviction you can be hired there. I worked there for several years.

  7. As a Labor Service Representative for the NY State Department of Labor, I welcome this site to provide needed information for ex-offenders who are encountering barriers to seeking employment.

  8. I’m really trying to find a decent paying job as a felon. Yes any job is better than none but if anyone has any assistance with one or more that’s $10.00/hour or higher I would really appreciate it. Just looking for more help in the right direction. And whoever is in charge of http://www.exoffenders.net, you are a LITERALLY a life saver!

    Thank You and Be Safe

  9. UPS wouldn’t hire me b/c of my felony drug charge.

Chipotle will hire you and you can go into management.

    Outback steakhouse doesn’t care either.
