resources new teamProgress on the resources portion of the site is starting to move forward a little quicker.¬†Georgia and New Hampshire are up and California’s resources page should be done pretty soon. Hopefully our visitors from those states can find assistance from one of the resources. There is also a new addition, possibly two, to the Exoffenders.net team! They will be helping me work on the reentry & assistance resources pages. I’m pretty excited about this, and it should be a huge help with working on the site.

Aside from that, Erik created lesson 3 for his job skill training classes. He’s working on the video that goes along with it today so that should be up soon. Also, lesson 4 is almost ready to go as well! Anyone that has been following these classes should check them out. They’re a great resource for those looking to learn a valuable new skill. Lesson 3 and lesson 4 will work with the unrestricted, self-hosted version of WordPress. Both lessons will teach you how to work with the features and tools you’ll need to build a website. After that, the lessons will be geared towards taking what you’ve learned and start making money with it. Head on over to the skill training section¬†if you’re interested in this free resource.

The last thing I wanted to mention is in regards to a new website that should be launching soon. It’s a job site specifically for ex-offenders, and would function similar to other job sites currently around. This site would be specifically for employers to post jobs that were available to ex-offenders. It looks like it could be an incredible, much needed service. We will keep everyone updated as to when this launches. For now, Snagajob is probably the best bet for local jobs.

Thats it for now, we’ll keep you posted on anything new on the website as well as social media. Thanks for taking the time to read this.
